Use Windows 7 To Automatically Display Game Screenshots

(My desktop from my Eve Online screen shots)

Here’s a pretty tight trick you can do with Windows 7 if your a gamer. Windows 7 has an awesome new feature that can randomly display different desktop backgrounds. If your a PC gamer, I got somethin’ for ya…

If you play games like World of Warcraft, you take screen shots of yourself doin’ somethin’ crazy in-game. Well here’s a way to get Windows 7 to automatically display different screen shots you’ve taken in game as your desktop background. Not just that, but Windows 7 will display new screen shots you’ve taken automatically. And you can create a theme of this, so that if wanna’ switch to let’s say screen shots from another game, you can without missin’ a beat. Here’s how:

  • Right click your desktop and select “Personalize”
  • Click “Desktop Background”
  • Click “Browse”
  • Navigate to the folder where your game saves its screenshots and click “Ok”
  • Make sure “Shuffle” is checked and select “10 Minutes” from “Change Picture Every”
  • Click “Save Changes”
  • Now you’ll have a new unsaved them, so click “Save Theme”
  • Type the name of the game
  • And you’re done
  • And now you’ve got wallpaper screenshots that automatically change depending on what crazy good (or crazy bad) shots you snap. Yo, if you enjoyed this, follow and interact with me at twitter.com/johnBbaird.
